Boating Safety Classes
The Coast Guard Auxiliary offers a variety of public education courses designed to inform and equip recreational boaters of all levels. Instruction is provided free of charge, however this does not include any course materials that may be required. All courses are taught by knowledgeable qualified Auxiliarists who are dedicated to boating safety.

Vessel Safety Checks
Flotilla 5-11 provides FREE vessel safety checks in the Long Beach & San Pedro area. Our qualified vessel examiners will check your boat for compliance of State and Federal regulations and award a Coast Guard Vessel Safety Decal if all your requirements are met. For any items that do not meet requirements, we will let you know how to fix the problems.
Once you have fixed any violations simply contact to Re-schedule your FREE safety examination and if everything checks out you will be award a decal for passing the inspection.
